Mazel Tov! on your decision to enter the Jewish Community as a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Bar Mitzvah Florida is a full service preparation for your child's Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah. Based on Florida's Treasure Coast, with study in person or long distance, our mission is to create a POSITIVE learning experience for your child and your entire family, and guide your child into the world of Judaism with love for his culture, people, heritage and faith.
Through a curriculum designed to meet the needs of the individual student, Bar Mitzvah Florida can guide you toward your goals. The only requirement to become Bar Mitzvah is to be called to the Torah and say the blessings, an aliyah. How much more the student wishes to do will be decided between the teacher, student and the student's family. Everyone learns in a different way, so we tailor the program to meet the student's learning needs, spiritual needs and abilities.
Our main goal is to make the learning process enjoyable and fulfilling, provide challenge up to the student's level, and to help the student understand that preparing for his or her Bar or Bat Mitzvah is the BEGINNING of living a Jewish life. Learning doesn't end with this milestone. Quite the contrary! The Bar Mitzvah ceremony marks a Jewish teen's readiness to accept the obligations to lead a Jewish life; a journey into Jewish adulthood. It is meant to encourage the students to continue their education by providing a basis from which to start.
